All you need to issue a digital ID card to a user is verified data about them and their consent. You can acquire consent in many different ways. We've included some common examples below.
Examples
Richard is a new user signing up for Hooli.
At the end of the sign up flow, Richard checks a checkbox to activate his Hooli ID card.
The user verifies as part of your sign up process.
They go through your existing ID verification process, using whichever vendors you prefer. If you haven't implemented ID verification yet, we can refer you to our partners.

We take data security extremely seriously. We have completed a security audit from a Google approved auditor and regularly reevaluate all of our systems. All sensitive data is stored in a separate, isolated environment with strict access control, encrypted in transit and at rest, and tokenized so that as much data processing as possible is done with nonsensitive aliases. No sensitive data is shared without the explicit consent of the user.
We also have a robust set of 19 internal policies and plans that all personnel are required to read, accept, and abide by. These cover everything from access control to change management to information security and more.

No sensitive user data goes anywhere without explicit end user consent. That applies both for the issuance of new digital ID cards and the usage of existing digital ID cards. We are fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and other major data protection laws globally. Users can request to delete their data at any time.
