Join the Unum ID team.
Flush with new funding, Unum ID is growing quickly. We're currently looking to fill the following roles:
People are by far our biggest priority. A company is only as good as the people that make it up. Our goal is to make the hiring process as easy, fair, and transparent as possible. We will never sacrifice thoroughness for speed, but we promise to never waste your time with arduous application processes, repetitive interviews, or otherwise. We adapt the process specifically to each candidate, but we typically do the following:
Given the current COVID-19 situation, all interviews will be conducted remotely. This process can take as little as a week for qualified candidates. If you're a perfect fit, we'll waste no time in making an offer.
We're an intense, fun-loving team doing everything in our power to build the ID card network. When you join us, we'll ask for the best work of your life, and we'll give you ours in return. Together, we'll have the chance to build a fundamental layer of technology for the future Internet, and we'll have a blast doing it.
Our company name comes from the unofficial U.S. motto e pluribus unum, which means "out of many, one". (Hence Unum ID referring to each person's one identity, which emerges out of many parts.) Fittingly, our official mascot has long been George Washington, who warned about foreign interference over 220 years ago in his Farewell Address. Foreign (and domestic) interference has become a problem of verified identity today, as it's extremely difficult to prevent bots and fraudulent actors. George is a Twitter influencer (@NumberOnePOTUS) and LinkedIn super-connector, using his fake accounts to promote... the need to stop fake accounts.
We've also made funny presidential chatbots like YoBama!, Trump's Ear, and Yo Biden! to let people send verified messages in an amusing way. And we've had taste test competitions in the office to see who can best distinguish San Pellegrino from Perrier. We received free office space from Samsung (one of our investors), which came with an enormous selection of office snacks, including bottles from these two famous bubbly water brands. After a careful, competitive experiment, we determined that even the best of us are only barely able to detect any difference!
In the midst of all this entertainment, we're making waves as a company. Check out our TechCrunch Disrupt interview below. And join us! We'd love to have you on the team.
